2. Written quote with film, warranty, and timeline
Quote includes brand, series, exact film specs (TSER, VLT, UV-block), warranty details, and an install date — typically within 1–2 weeks.
3. Pre-install prep
Day-of prep includes moving furniture 3–4 feet from windows, removing window treatments, and laying drop cloths to protect floors.
4. Surgical glass cleaning
Each pane is double-cleaned with razor scrapers and lint-free cloths. This step is what separates a 20-year install from a 3-year DIY job.
5. Precision film application
Film is custom-cut to each pane with a 1/16" edge gap, sprayed with installation solution, applied, and squeegeed dry. We inspect each pane under sidelight before moving to the next room.
6. Walkthrough, payment, and warranty paperwork
Final walkthrough, care card, and lifetime warranty registration handed off. Payment is collected on completion — no deposit on most residential jobs under 30 windows.

How to prepare your home for installation day
- Move furniture about 3–4 feet away from each window the morning of the install.
- Take down curtains, blinds, and any window-mounted decor.
- Clear sills of plants, picture frames, and electronics.
- Make sure there's a parking spot for the install crew within carrying distance.
- Plan to keep pets in another room during install.
What happens after installation — the cure period
Window film cures fully in 30–60 days depending on film thickness and weather. During cure:
- Light water bubbles or hazing may appear — completely normal and will disappear.
- Don't clean the film for 30 days.
- Don't open and close windows that have new film for 3–5 days.
- You can use rooms normally — no chemical smell, no off-gassing.

Should I do DIY window tint or hire a professional?
DIY kits are fine for a single small window with no warranty expectations. For a whole home — and especially for ceramic, spectrally selective, or dual-pane safe films — professional installation is the right call. Home installs require dust-controlled environments, calibrated cutting tables, and lifetime warranty registration that DIY can't provide.
Can window film be installed on every type of home glass?
Almost always yes, but film selection has to match the glass. Annealed single-pane is the most flexible. Tempered glass requires care around edge-deletion zones. Dual-pane low-E glass requires a film rated safe for that configuration — using the wrong film can crack the inner pane and void the manufacturer's warranty.
Do I need to leave home during installation?
No. Most homeowners stay home and we work room by room. We move furniture away from windows, remove blinds if needed, install, and reset everything before leaving.
How soon after installation can I clean the windows?
Wait 30 days before cleaning newly installed film. During the cure period some light water hazing may appear — this is normal and disappears as moisture evaporates. After cure, clean with a soft microfiber cloth and any non-ammonia cleaner.
